A GUEST TEACHER
SUNDAY 02.12.2012
BIANCA
Bianca is one of the leading teachers, performers and choreographers of Argentine Tango in the UK. Bianca has formally studied dance for several years, and holds a degree in Dance from Middlesex University.
Her dance studies include different techniques of contemporary dance such as: Graham, Cunningham, Humphrey, Release and others, then classical ballet, choreography studies, Afro-Cuban dances, tap, several forms of Flamenco, competitive latin dances etc.
Bianca has also studied dramatic arts for 3 years at prestigious institute, City Lit. She is currently studying synchronised swimming, aerial dance (trapeze and hoop), ice skating and roller-skating, and, since she has a lot of musical talent, after studying piano for many years, she has recently started to compose some Tango music, and is currently working towards her own Tango CD album.
Since 1995, when she started dancing Tango, Bianca has visited Buenos Aires regularly, and studied with variety of great teachers including the master teacher, Gustavo Naveira who also appears in the film 'The Tango Lesson'. Bianca has developed her own meticulously structured method of teaching Tango, informed by the wealth of her knowledge and experience in dance and other related disciplines (Pilates, Yoga, Feldenkrais and Alexander Techniques). She has been teaching since 2000 following this method, and it is possible to follow this method by purchasing the DVD for beginners produced by Bianca in 2007. More DVDs are planned to be produced in the near future. Since 1998, Bianca has taught thousands of students through weekly group classes, workshops and courses, as well as through other events under the banner of Rojo y Negro, her Tango school. She has been teaching structured Tango courses in City Literary Institute and Bishopsgate Institute since 2001, and as a guest teacher works for Middlesex University, dance agencies and for other Tango schools around the country. Bianca has partnered in teaching and performing many Argentine professional dancers of different styles in the UK and abroad, including Federico Guerin (Paris), Diego Calarco (Buenos Aires), Mauricio Castro (Buenos Aires), Hector Villalba (Buenos Aires), Ismael Ludman (Buenos Aires) and Juan Manuel Acosta (Buenos Aires), Pastor Jurado (Buenos Aires), Maximiliano Paradiso (Buenos Aires) and grande Pibe Avellaneda (Buenos Aires), and others. Since 2006, Bianca has been partnering Sacha and has danced with him in many events in the UK. Bianca will be a guest teacher all day and give a tango show in the evening on Sunday 2nd December 2012.
